First ISDGS registered sheep in the UK

First ISDGS registered sheep in the UK

We are proud to announce that the first 5 purebred Djallonké "Cameroon sheep" from the UK have been included in the international studbook. Mrs. Vikki Harding from England her sheep have been tested for purity and DNA profiled. We welcome Mrs. Harding in the fraternity of high quality, conscientious breeders. Her sheep help to increase the European gene pool.

We are honored to award the first 5 UK studbook numbers to; Harding's Antony (AOBA-UK000001-ISDGS), Harding's Level42 (AOBA-UK000002-ISDG), Harding's Tracy (AOBA-UK000003-ISDGS), Harding's Mum (AOBA-UK000004-ISDGS) and Harding's No75 (AOBA-UK000005-ISDGS)

We first met Cameroon sheep in the pet section of our local zoo and at that time we decided that they were something we one day wanted to keep. Twenty years later we moved to a run down farm on the Essex Suffolk boarders and the first thing we did was find some Cameroon sheep. Once we started breeding we quickly realised that we wanted to find and talk to other breeders to ensure that we are breeding the best stock possible and help raise the breeds profile. We are very pleased that our first purchases have been DNA tested as purebred and they now form the foundation of our flock. We continue to breed purebred animals, some of which are available for sale.
