ITALIA, IN ARRIVO ISDGS!

In the summer of 2022 we were contacted to export a starting herd from Belgium to Italy. Initially we planned to put together a herd with ewes from 2020, 2021 and 2022. Unfortunately, we were unlucky with the persistent drought of 2022, which meant that the ewes were not fit for export. Also the mandatory blue tongue vaccination was done too late. In addition, we were also unlucky that some young ewes had torn ears because their ear tags got stuck in the fence wire. Italy has very strict import regulations. And we couldn't make this to sell sheep like that. That is why we have decided to put together a completely new breeding group with ewes all born between January and April 2023. We will arrange everything as soon as possible so that when weaned they can be immediately sent to Italy. And this by the month of June at the latest (before the new drought period). Photos will be posted as soon as possible. ISDGS will personally bring the sheep to Italy. ISDGS is urgently busy regulating this export. Soon we will be able to welcome our Italian friends to the fraternity of high quality, conscientious breeders.

Nell'estate del 2022 siamo stati contattati per esportare una mandria iniziale dal Belgio all'Italia. Inizialmente avevamo programmato di mettere insieme una mandria con pecore del 2020, 2021 e 2022. Sfortunatamente, siamo stati sfortunati con la persistente siccità del 2022, il che significava che le pecore non erano adatte all'esportazione. Anche la vaccinazione obbligatoria contro la lingua blu è stata effettuata troppo tardi. Inoltre, siamo stati anche sfortunati che alcune giovani pecore avessero le orecchie strappate perché i loro marchi auricolari erano rimasti incastrati nel filo del recinto. L'Italia ha regole di importazione molto rigide. E non potremmo farlo per vendere pecore così. Per questo abbiamo deciso di mettere insieme un gruppo di allevamento completamente nuovo con pecore tutte nate tra gennaio e aprile 2023. Organizzeremo tutto il prima possibile in modo che una volta svezzate possano essere immediatamente inviate in Italia. E questo al più tardi entro il mese di giugno (prima del nuovo periodo di siccità). Le foto verranno pubblicate il prima possibile. ISDGS porterà personalmente le pecore in Italia. ISDGS è urgentemente impegnato a regolamentare questa esportazione. Presto potremo accogliere i nostri amici italiani nella confraternita degli allevatori coscienziosi e di alta qualità.
